STORY
The 312 was a short transitional model between the Wartburg 311 and the 353. It took the 311 body, added independent front suspension, and kept the 992 cc three-cylinder two-stroke engine of the late 311. Production ran from September 1965 to March 1967, and the 353 followed in 1966.
