VV5 2.0T

STORY

The VV5 was one of the two models that launched the Wey brand in 2017. It sat below the VV7 as Great Wall's compact premium SUV. It had a 2.0-litre turbocharged four with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and shared much of its engineering with the Haval H6 family, but had better materials and more equipment. It cost far less than German compact SUVs and helped Wey sell well in China at the start. It was phased out in the early 2020s as the coffee-named hybrids arrived.
