The YU7 is Xiaomi's second model and first SUV, previewed in May 2025 and launched that June. It shares the SU7's Modena architecture but has a taller 4,999 mm crossover body, with a distinctive full-width panoramic display projected onto the base of the windscreen in place of a conventional instrument cluster. Its launch was even more dramatic than the SU7's, with reports of around 200,000 locked orders within the first hours. It was positioned directly against the Tesla Model Y in China.
The Xiaomi YU7 is an all-electric mid-size SUV launched in 2025 as the second model in Xiaomi Auto's lineup and its first high-riding vehicle. It shares much of the SU7's electric architecture and comes in single- and dual-motor versions with long-range CATL or BYD batteries, aimed at family and lifestyle buyers. It extends Xiaomi's HyperOS ecosystem into the SUV segment, with close integration between the car, phones and smart-home devices. The YU7 widens the brand's reach beyond the sport sedan and competes directly with the Tesla Model Y.
