Disco Volante by Touring: Alfa Romeo x Touring Superleggera, 2013
Coachbuilt collaboration · with Touring Superleggera · 2013 · Combustion

The 1952 “flying saucer” Alfa, reborn on the 8C.
Touring Superleggera reclothed the Alfa 8C Competizione as a modern homage to the 1952 Alfa C52 “Disco Volante,” hand-forming an aluminium-and-composite body over the donor chassis. Unveiled as a full-scale model at Geneva 2012 and productionised for a handful of clients, it later spawned an open Spyder in 7 units for the coachbuilder’s 90th anniversary. It is a defining example of contemporary Italian carrozzeria craft.
