Life-Size LEGO Technic Chiron: Bugatti x LEGO Technic, 2018
Toy collaboration · with LEGO Technic · 2018 · Electric

A million Technic pieces that actually drive · no glue.
LEGO Technic’s first full-size, self-propelled build recreated the Bugatti Chiron entirely out of more than a million Technic pieces. Remarkably, there is no glue anywhere in the structure. Instead of a conventional engine it used a bespoke LEGO powertrain: 2,304 tiny Power Function motors ganged through 4,032 gears to make the car genuinely drivable at low speed (~20 km/h). Finished in Chiron blue and detailed down to a working rear wing and speedometer, it took roughly 13,000 hours and debuted being driven at Monza.
