A hydrogen-combustion vision of Alpine's carbon-neutral future
Alpine unveiled the Alpenglow at the 2022 Paris Motor Show as a low, canopy-topped single-seat concept exploring hydrogen internal combustion as a carbon-neutral path for sports cars. The original show car stored hydrogen in two 700-bar cylindrical tanks flanking the cockpit and served as a rolling statement of intent. It later evolved into functional running prototypes, the four-cylinder Alpenglow Hy4 in 2024 and the V6-powered Hy6 later that year.
