An ultra-aerodynamic solar three-wheeler chasing 1,000 miles
The revived Aptera is a two-seat, three-wheel solar electric vehicle built from lightweight carbon-fibre and composite materials, aiming for extreme efficiency rather than conventional packaging. Its teardrop body reaches a claimed 0.13 drag coefficient, and integrated solar cells can supply around 700 watts, good for up to 40 miles of driving per day from the sun alone. Aptera detailed its Launch Edition in 2023 while continuing to raise the funding needed to begin volume production.
