One-off Corvette ZR1 reskinned by Bertone
The Mantide (Italian for 'mantis') was a one-off supercar built on the running gear of a 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, retaining its 638 hp supercharged 6.2-litre LS9 V8 and six-speed manual. Bertone's carbon body cut roughly 100 kg versus the donor and dramatically improved aerodynamics, reducing drag by about 25 percent. Only one was built; a planned run of ten never materialised.
