Cadillac Sixteen concept (2003)
Concept car · 2003 · Combustion

A 1,000-hp V16 flagship for Cadillac's centenary.
Unveiled to mark Cadillac's 100th anniversary, the Sixteen was an 18.6-foot ultra-luxury sedan that revived the brand's pre-war V16 heritage. Its hand-built 13.6-litre aluminium V16 -- based on GM's Gen-IV LS architecture and developed with Katech -- produced 1,000 hp and 1,000 lb-ft, using Displacement on Demand to run on fewer cylinders when cruising. A functioning prototype, it paired hand-crafted luxury with brute mechanical ambition.
