A subscription-era electric microbus on a skateboard chassis
Canoo revealed its Lifestyle Vehicle in September 2019 as a boldly retro, minivan-sized electric people carrier initially offered only by subscription. Its bubbly cabin dispensed with a traditional dashboard, seated up to seven and wrapped occupants in glass, while everything mechanical lived in a flat skateboard platform Canoo called its multi-purpose platform. That modular chassis was designed to spawn cargo vans and pickups, and the design won a Red Dot Best of the Best award in 2020.
