A retro-futuristic revival of a 1965 vision, with a supercharged V8
Unveiled at the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed to mark De Tomaso's 60th anniversary, the P72 revives the spirit of the 1965 P70 with sculpted, copper-accented 1960s styling and an analog, screen-free cabin. The 2019 car was announced with a Roush-built supercharged 5.0-litre Ford Coyote V8; the later production specification uses De Tomaso's own supercharger. Production is limited to 72 units, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
