A 1,000 hp single-seat vision to announce a stealth startup
Faraday Future ended eighteen months of stealth by unveiling the FFZERO1 on the eve of CES 2016, a dramatic single-seat electric supercar concept designed under Richard Kim. Built as a design and technology statement rather than a runner, it rode the company's Variable Platform Architecture with a modular string battery whose count could be varied to tune range and weight. The driver sat reclined at roughly 45 degrees in a NASA-inspired zero-gravity seat, controlling functions through a smartphone docked in the steering wheel.
