Concept car · 2007 · Combustion
A 1,000 kg lightweight technology-demonstrator concept.
The Millechili (Italian for 'a thousand kilos') was a concept study unveiled at a technical symposium at Ferrari's Maranello headquarters in June 2007, during the company's 60th-anniversary celebrations. Developed with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, it targeted a curb weight of exactly 1,000 kg to explore how lightweight construction could improve performance and efficiency. Roughly the size of a scaled-down Enzo, it used an aluminium structure, a titanium transmission case and extensive aerodynamic aids, and led to the establishment of the Millechili Lab.
