Hydrogen fuel-cell shooting brake with 'liquid packaging'
The Sintesi was Pininfarina's technology showcase built around a hydrogen fuel-cell drivetrain and a philosophy it called 'liquid packaging', distributing four fuel-cell power modules to the wheels rather than concentrating them in one block. Its centre tunnel integrated a bio-fuel tank and a reformer to generate hydrogen onboard. The four-door, four-seat concept illustrated how a clean-powertrain layout could free up proportions and cabin space.
