A muscular four-door 'sports coupe' blending Firebird attitude with utility, the Rageous mated a 5.7L V8 (about 315 hp) to a 5-speed manual, hitting 60 mph in roughly 5.5 seconds despite a 4,600-lb curb weight. Its two front doors and two rear suicide doors, plus a two-piece rear hatch opening onto 49 cubic feet of rubberized cargo space, foreshadowed later four-door performance cars.
