SSC Tuatara

The twin-turbo V8 hypercar that succeeded the Ultimate Aero

Named after a New Zealand reptile with the fastest-evolving DNA, it wrapped a twin-turbocharged V8 in an ultra-slippery body claimed to have a class-leading 0.279 drag coefficient. Early figures cited around 1,350 hp and a target top speed near 276 mph; the production car eventually arrived years later.
