Vietnam's Pininfarina-styled bid for the global EV market
VinFast used the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show to introduce the VF e35, a mid-size electric SUV styled by Pininfarina that marked the Vietnamese maker's push into the United States and Europe. Pitched against the Tesla Model Y and Volkswagen ID.4, it featured split headlights, a full-width light bar, a large 15.4-inch touchscreen and a heavy sensor and LiDAR suite aimed at Level 3 assistance. It later reached production, renamed the VF 8.
