Artem Shabanov
Drift legend · Russia

A white and red TimeUp Toyota Supra A80 that he barely touched all season.
A Moscow driver who won the RDS GP title in his debut season for TimeUp, Artem Shabanov opened 2024 with five straight podiums and clinched the championship a stage early.
Shabanov is from Moscow and trained as an automobile engineer. He saw drifting at about twelve at a night meet, slid his father's BMW E36 on a car park, and entered his first serious winter competition at seventeen, finishing third. From eighteen he worked as a spotter and manager in RDS and ran his own drift school before racing seriously.
He debuted in RDS Europe in 2022, was vice-champion in 2023 while spotting for TimeUp, and was invited to RDS GP for 2024. That season he opened with five consecutive podiums, won stages at ADM Raceway and Moscow Raceway, and clinched the title at Krasnoyarsk one stage early with 1,273 points against 1,125 for Damir Idiyatulin. It was TimeUp's first title and the first for a Moscow driver since 2016.
He finished third in RDS GP in 2025 with wins at Moscow Raceway and NRing. He does not appear on the 2026 RDS GP entry list; TimeUp drivers have been racing in China's Royal Drift Series, where he won qualifying at the Shanghai opener, and the reason for the change has not been published.
