A physician from Vladivostok and a mother of four, Ekaterina Sedykh is the only woman pilot of the Russian Drift Series, a stage winner who twice finished runner-up in RDS-Vostok.
Sedykh is from Vladivostok and left medicine for drifting. Official RDS releases call her the only girl pilot of the series. She is the wife of Maksim Sedykh, four-time RDS-Vostok champion, and the pair, with four children, are described as the most famous drift family in the Far East; Maksim designed twin cars for himself and Ekaterina.
She raced in RDS-Vostok from 2013, finished third in 2014 and was vice-champion in 2017 and 2018 behind her husband. On 3 September 2016 she won stage 6 of RDS at Myachkovo, beating new two-time champion Evgeny Satyukov and Ukrainian champion Alexey Golovnya before taking the final from Evgeny Ruzheynikov after three tied runs.
In 2017 she won stages 3 and 4 of RDS-Vostok, beating Maksim in the top 16 at Primorsky Ring, and Team Yokohama took the team title. She returned to RDS GP in 2019 with a white Silvia S15 of about 500 hp, number 11, and tells her story on her own YouTube channel, Sedykh Drift.
