Forrest Wang

Drift legend · USA

Forrest Wang, Get Nuts Lab founder and Formula Drift driver, portrait

Grassroots discipline at the pro level.

Founder of Get Nuts Lab, one of the longest-running American FD pro programmes. Brought JZX100 grassroots identity into FD, then anchored the S-chassis grid for over a decade.

Wang came up through the American grassroots drift scene in the late 2000s and crossed to Formula Drift Pro with a JZX100 Toyota Chaser, a chassis that nobody else in the FD paddock was driving at the pro level. The Get Nuts Lab identity formed around that build: Las Vegas shop, builder-led driver programme, the visible grassroots-to-pro pipeline.

In the mid-2010s Wang shifted to a Nissan S15 Silvia, the platform he is now most identified with. The Get Nuts S15 won multiple FD rounds across the late 2010s and locked the visible S-chassis identity into the American pro paddock alongside the more European-built Worthouse Silvia James Deane was running in the same era.

The shop side stayed core. Get Nuts Lab builds and tunes drift cars for other pros and the grassroots community out of Vegas. The driver identity and the builder identity move together; the chassis catalogue and the racing résumé inherit from the same shop.
