Ilya Fedorov
Drift legend · Russia

A right-hand-drive Mustang with a supercharged Coyote V8.
Born in Khabarovsk, Ilya Fedorov won four straight RDS-Vostok titles from 2011 to 2014, took bronze at the 2019 FIA Motorsport Games, and in 2026 built the first right-hand-drive Ford Mustang S550 in Russian drift.
Fedorov was born in 1986 in Khabarovsk and later moved to Vladivostok and then to Moscow. He has drifted since 2008, started on the street, traded a Toyota Mark II for a Nissan Silvia S13, and worked as a video editor and one of the first steadicam operators in the Far East. The Silvia S13 is the car he drove longest.
He won RDS-Vostok every year from 2011 to 2014, was second in 2015 behind Japanese guest Tetsuya Hibino and third in 2016. He also won the Super Drift Battle in 2012, the Ryazan finale and the Cup of Champions in 2017, raced D1GP rounds in Japan and China, and took bronze for Team Russia at the first FIA Motorsport Games Drifting Cup at Vallelunga in 2019 in a Nissan Silvia S14.
In 2026 he made his RDS GP debut with a right-hand-drive Ford Mustang S550 that he built with a 5.0 Coyote, a Rotrex supercharger and E85 fuel at 700 to 750 hp. He explains the right-hand drive simply: he comes from the Far East and always drove right-hand-drive cars, and muscle memory makes him more effective on the right. He races, in his words, almost at his own expense.
