Rudskogen Motorsenter
Circuit · Norway, Rakkestad

The home of Gatebil. Forty thousand people and no dress code.
Norway's national motorsport centre, racing since 1990 and rebuilt to a Tilke design in 2012. For drift it matters because of one thing: Gatebil. The main festival each July fills the site for a programme built around Breisladden and the Gatebil Drift Battle rather than around a race.
Gatebil is a culture rather than a championship: home-built cars, sound, smoke, camping in the paddock, and a tolerance for the ridiculous that a sanctioned series cannot have. Much of the Scandinavian grid came up through these weekends.
The circuit repays commitment, 42 metres of elevation across fourteen corners and a 640-metre straight, so the car is unloading exactly where the driver has to commit.
