NSX-T 3.2 Targa (US)

I (NA1) · 1997–2001RWD

The 3.2 L engine reached the US NSX-T in 1997, giving the removable-roof car 290 hp and 304 N m through a manual gearbox to the rear wheels. This row spans 1997 to 2001, the period when pop-up headlamps were still fitted, so the targa panel is the only visual change from the coupe.

STORY

The Acura NSX is a mid-engine sports car first launched in 1990 as a supercar that could be used every day. Ayrton Senna gave input during development, and it had a pioneering all-aluminum body. Its naturally aspirated VTEC V6 and sharp handling showed that a supercar could also be easy to live with. A second generation arrived in 2016 as a 573-hp hybrid with three electric motors and a twin-turbo V6.
