The Han DM-i is a front-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid sedan with four doors and five seats, sold from 2021. A naturally aspirated 1.5-litre four-cylinder makes 218 PS and 325 Nm through an automatic transmission. It weighs 2020 kg and reaches 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.

STORY

The Han launched in China in July 2020 in two forms, the Han EV and the Han DM plug-in hybrid, and the EV used the Blade battery BYD had introduced that March. BYD quoted up to 605 km of NEDC range for the single-motor EV and 81 km of NEDC electric range for the DM. The dual-motor four-wheel-drive EV makes 363 kW and was quoted at 3.9 seconds to 100 km/h, figures reported on 19 May 2020. The DM-i and DM-p versions came later. A separate, newer model, the Han L, arrived in 2025.
