The EC6 is Nio's coupe-SUV, launched in December 2019 (deliveries from September 2020) as a sportier, fastback-roofline sibling to the ES6. Built on Nio's battery-swap platform, it shares dual-motor powertrains and swappable battery packs (initially 70 kWh, later up to 100 kWh) compatible with Nio's Power Swap network. A fully redesigned second-generation EC6 arrived in 2023 on the NT2.0 platform with lidar-based Nio Aquila autonomous-driving hardware.
The NIO EC6 is a mid-size all-electric coupe SUV, serving as the sleeker, sloping-roofline counterpart to the boxier ES6. It uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain and is compatible with NIO Power battery swap, offered with 75 kWh and 100 kWh packs for a CLTC range of roughly 505 to 630 km. Launched in China in December 2019, with deliveries from September 2020, it targets buyers who want a sportier, more expressive design without sacrificing NIO's premium tech and swappable-battery convenience. It sits in the premium electric coupe-SUV segment against rivals such as the Tesla Model Y.
