STORY
The Granvia first appeared in Japan in August 1995 as the XH10, a semi-bonneted passenger van based on the H100 Hiace. Petrol fours, a 3.4-litre V6 and 3.0-litre turbodiesels were offered, with rear or four-wheel drive. It spawned the Hiace Regius, Grand Hiace and Touring Hiace, and Japanese production ended in 2002. The name returned in 2019 for the upmarket H300 Hiace in Taiwan, Australasia, Argentina, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, while Japan sold the same van as the GranAce until production ended in April 2024. In China, FAW Toyota has used the name for the Sienna since 2022.
