Bugatti Destrier

The Bolide reimagined as pure sculpture

The Destrier is the third one-off commission under Bugatti's Programme Solitaire, following the Brouillard and the F.K.P. Hommage. It takes the track-only Bolide's carbon-fiber monocoque and quad-turbo 8.0-litre W16 and wraps them in a road-legal body designed under a 'Sculpture of Speed' brief, stripping away the Bolide's aggressive aero to reveal softer, more sensuous surfacing. At just one metre tall it remains the lowest silhouette Bugatti has ever built, riding on 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels. The car wears a bespoke Sapphire Celeste exterior with a diamond-inspired sparkle effect and an Ambre Voyageur leather and nubuck cabin with copper-threaded textiles. It was commissioned by an unnamed American client and shown privately at the Bugatti Maison before its public debut at Pebble Beach on August 16, 2026.
