Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 (2019)
Concept car · 2019 · Hybrid

Lamborghini's first hybrid stored its lightning in a supercapacitor, not a battery.
The Sian FKP 37 was the first hybrid production Lamborghini and the fastest the marque had built at launch. Rather than a heavy lithium-ion battery, it used a supercapacitor integrated into the gearbox to feed a 48-volt electric motor, blending instant electric torque with the highest-output naturally aspirated V12 Lamborghini had yet produced. The 'FKP 37' name honours the late Volkswagen chairman Ferdinand Karl Piech, born in 1937.
