A canopy-topped tribute to Maserati racing
The Birdcage 75th was a functional concept built by Pininfarina to mark the studio's 75th anniversary and honor the classic Tipo 60 and 61 Birdcage race cars. It used the carbon fibre chassis and V12 engine of the Maserati MC12, topped by a transparent hydraulic canopy in place of doors. The interior featured a head-up display developed with Motorola.
