Porsche Mission S vision model, front three-quarter view in a white studio

A mid-engined vision of the next Porsche super sports car, shown on the pier where the 550 Spyder was photographed in 1953

The Mission S is a vision model that previews Porsche's evolved design identity under the "Sportwagenschmiede 35" strategy and a mid-engined super sports car line positioned above the 911. Round headlights and torpedo fenders come from the 911, the flat front and "car-in-car" rear from the 911 GT1, the roofline from the 959, the cooling solution from the 917's radiator fan and the wheels from the dial design of the 928. Inside, five tube-style gauges surround a needle tachometer, there is no fixed centre or passenger display and a retractable MagSafe-compatible smartphone holder acts as the screen. Design was led by Tobias Sühlmann, Head of Style Porsche. Porsche has not published dimensions, powertrain or output.
