A carbon-fiber canopy coupe running on pure ethanol
The Saab Aero-X was a two-seat carbon-fiber sports coupe inspired by Saab's aircraft heritage. In place of conventional doors it used a full aircraft-style cockpit canopy that lifted the entire top of the car for entry. Power came from a 2.8-litre twin-turbo V6 BioPower engine running on pure ethanol, driving all four wheels through a seven-speed paddle-shift transmission.
