The Kappa roadster concept that reached production almost intact
Shown at the 2005 Detroit auto show, the Sky concept was a rear-drive roadster on GM's Kappa platform, inspired by the Vauxhall VX Lightning study from GM's UK advanced studio. With short overhangs, a wide stance, and 18-inch wheels pushed to the corners, it was carried into production the following year as the 2006 Saturn Sky, a sibling to the Pontiac Solstice and Opel GT.
