Yamaha MOTIV.e Concept

Gordon Murray's lightweight iStream city car

The MOTIV.e made its debut at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, Yamaha's first four-wheeled concept and the public reveal of Gordon Murray Design's long-promised small car. It was built on Murray's iStream manufacturing system, a steel frame with bonded composite panels drawing on Formula One-derived construction to make a light, rigid two-seat safety cell. Shown primarily as an electric city car with a petrol version also planned, it was engineered specifically for European use.
