A carbon tribute to the Batmobile coupe
Shown at Villa d'Este in May 2015, the 3.0 CSL Hommage salutes the 1970s 3.0 CSL racing coupe that earned the Batmobile nickname. It pairs a carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic body with a straight-six, a modern shark nose, and the original car's Golf Yellow paint. The cabin is stripped to lightweight bucket seats, six-point harnesses, and a roll cage.
