The bold kidney grille that previewed the new 4 Series.
Unveiled at the 2019 Frankfurt IAA, the Concept 4 was a coupe study that boldly reintroduced a large vertical double-kidney grille, foreshadowing the divisive front end of the second-generation 4 Series. Its grille lattice was formed from an array of interlocking number '4' motifs, and a single fibre-optic element created a 'heartbeat' graphic in the L-shaped rear lights. It rode on 21-inch wheels.
