BMW Just 4/2 (Z21) concept (1995)
Concept car · 1995 · Combustion

A motorcycle-engined featherweight roadster before the Ariel Atom.
The Z21 'Just 4/2' was a stripped-back, minimalist two-seat roadster shown at the 1995 Tokyo Motor Show, predating the Ariel Atom's exposed-frame ethos by years. Built on a lightweight aluminium frame with Kevlar panels, it weighed just 550 kg. Power came from a rear-mounted 1.1-litre four-cylinder engine borrowed from the K1100 motorcycle, good for 100 hp and a 0-60 mph sprint of roughly six seconds.
