BMW Concept Coupe Mille Miglia

A carbon-bodied homage to the 328's Mille Miglia glory.

Unveiled in Brescia ahead of the 2006 Mille Miglia, this coupe study honoured BMW's 1940 Mille Miglia-winning 328 while previewing cues of the Z4 Coupe. Its entire body was carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic, and it drew its drivetrain and suspension from the Z4 M Coupe. Designers even sculpted it from plaster rather than clay, and a hinged hard-top roof nodded to Le Mans racing heritage.
