The W18-powered coupe that relaunched Bugatti
The EB 118 was the first concept from the revived Bugatti Automobiles, shown at the 1998 Paris Motor Show and styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Italdesign. The elegant 2+2 grand-touring coupe featured a longitudinal spine echoing the Type 57 SC Atlantic and permanent all-wheel drive, and it debuted Bugatti's new 6.3-litre W18 engine. It stayed a design study as Bugatti pivoted toward the sports car that became the Veyron.
