Genesis GV80 Concept

A hydrogen fuel-cell SUV concept that shaped Genesis's first SUV

Unveiled April 12, 2017, the GV80 Concept was Luc Donckerwolke's first project for Genesis after leaving Bentley. It previewed the brand's SUV design direction with a large diamond-mesh grille, quad headlamps and 23-inch wheels, finished in a custom Ice Granite dark silver. Rather than combustion, the concept was powered by an advanced plug-in hydrogen fuel-cell system, though Genesis released no specific output data. Inside sat a 22-inch curved OLED display. Its styling led to the production GV80 SUV, which itself used combustion engines.
