A luxury electric city car that proved small could still be premium
Unveiled at the 2019 New York International Auto Show, the Mint was a two-seat electric city car with very short overhangs, finished in Hunter Green matte. Genesis quoted around 200 miles of range and support for up to 350 kW DC fast charging, enough for an 80 percent top-up in under 15 minutes. In place of a conventional trunk it used scissor-style side openings for cargo, and the cabin featured an oblong steering wheel ringed by copper-toned GUI screens. It previewed Genesis's electrification intent rather than a production model.
