Isuzu's first battery-electric pickup, shown in concept form
The D-Max BEV was shown in concept form at the 45th Bangkok International Motor Show in 2024 as Isuzu's first battery-electric vehicle. It kept the pickup's core capability with a full-time four-wheel-drive system using newly developed e-axles at both the front and rear, drawing on a 66.9 kWh lithium-ion battery. Isuzu targeted a one-tonne payload and 3.5-tonne towing capacity, aiming to match the working ability of its diesel trucks while pointing the D-Max range toward electrification for European and other markets.
