Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

A 999 kg carbon track weapon named for carbon's atomic number.

The Sesto Elemento ('sixth element', a reference to carbon's atomic number) is a track-only carbon-fibre showcase that debuted at the 2010 Paris Motor Show and reached a 20-car limited run. Roughly 80 percent of the car is carbon fibre, including chassis, body, driveshafts, wheels and suspension parts, cutting weight to just 999 kg. Powered by the Gallardo Superleggera's 5.2-litre V10 with all-wheel drive, the stripped interior has foam padding bonded straight to the chassis in place of seats. Lamborghini claimed a 2.5-second 0-100 km/h sprint.
