A compact hybrid coupe that foreshadowed the RC
The LF-CC was a compact, rear-wheel-drive full-hybrid coupe that carried design cues from the earlier LF-LC into a more attainable, D-segment package, previewing what became the Lexus RC. Its powertrain was an all-new 2.5-litre four-cylinder Atkinson-cycle petrol engine with D-4S injection paired to a water-cooled permanent-magnet electric motor, targeting CO2 emissions below 100 g/km. It also showcased the boldest interpretation of the Lexus spindle grille to that date.
