A Formula 1 championship powertrain, licensed for the road.
The Project ONE was Mercedes-AMG's audacious bid to put an actual Formula 1 hybrid powertrain into a road car, unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt show by Lewis Hamilton. It paired a 1.6-litre turbo V6 revving to 11,000 rpm - lifted from AMG's championship-winning F1 engine - with four electric motors for a combined output over 1,000 hp and all-wheel drive. Limited to 275 units, it eventually reached production as the AMG ONE after years of taming the racing engine for street use.
