The 1970 C111 reborn as an axial-flux electric wedge
A direct callback to the orange C111 prototype that Mercedes used to test Wankel and turbodiesel powertrains in the 70s, the Vision One-Eleven swaps that experimental ICE story for a pair of YASA axial-flux electric motors and a high-performance liquid-cooled cylindrical-cell battery. Same wedge silhouette, same gullwing doors, same solid orange, but now positioned as the design direction for Mercedes-AMG's next-generation performance EVs.
