Plymouth Prowler Concept

A factory hot rod born from 1930s nostalgia

Inspired by designer Tom Gale's love of 1930s hot rods, the Prowler concept debuted at the 1993 Detroit Auto Show with hand-crafted aluminium bodywork and open, Indy-racer-style front wheels. Public enthusiasm drove it to production for model years 1997-2002, making it one of the very few true factory-built hot rods. The concept used a 3.5-litre 24-valve Chrysler V6 paired with a rear transaxle.
