Porsche 919 Street concept (2017)
Concept car · 2017 · Hybrid

The road-going 919 Hybrid hypercar Porsche judged too extreme to build.
Conceived in 2017 as a full-size clay model, the 919 Street reimagined Porsche's Le Mans-winning 919 Hybrid LMP1 racer as a road car. It retained the racer's carbon-fibre monocoque, wheelbase and proportions while toning down the wings and fins and adding a full-width LED light strip. Ultimately Porsche deemed it too extreme for the public, and it never progressed beyond the clay stage, surfacing in the 2020 "Porsche Unseen" book.
