Alfa Romeo B.A.T. 9 concept (1955)
Concept car · 1955 · Combustion

The B.A.T. that tamed its fins toward production reality.
The final Berlina Aerodinamica Tecnica, designed by Franco Scaglione for Bertone on an Alfa Romeo 1900 chassis, the B.A.T. 9 traded the wild fins of B.A.T. 5 and 7 for a cleaner, more production-minded shape with small metal tail plates and Alfa styling cues. It kept the aerodynamic experimentation while pointing toward buildable road cars. Its 2.0-litre four produced about 115 hp for roughly 180 km/h.
