A coachbuilding manifesto named for Tazio Nuvolari
The Nuvola ('cloud', also a nod to racing legend Tazio Nuvolari) was a two-seat coupe conceived as both design manifesto and technology demonstrator, reviving the idea of coachbuilt Alfas on a supplied rolling chassis. Its polyester body clothed a welded tubular steel spaceframe, and a longitudinal 2.5-litre twin-turbo V6 with 300 PS drove all four wheels. It survives at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese.
