The water-inspired hydrogen concept that became the Nexo
The FE (Future Eco) Fuel Cell Concept was Hyundai's water-inspired hydrogen SUV that directly previewed the production Nexo. Its fuel-cell stack was 20% lighter than that of the ix35 Fuel Cell yet 30% more power-dense, targeting a range over 800 km. Details such as an internal air humidifier that recycled the car's water emissions and a trunk-stowed electric scooter underscored its eco theme, and most of its design and driver-assist features carried into the Nexo.
